About the position

The Manager, Marketing Operations Material Review is responsible for overseeing the management of advertising and promotional materials within the U.S. Commercial Material Review Process (MRP). This role involves leading a cross-functional team to ensure the effective review and approval of various marketing materials, while also streamlining internal processes to enhance efficiency. The position requires a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the material review process, along with project management skills to support the development and distribution of marketing content.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the review process for promotional and non-promotional materials routed through the MRP process.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure alignment across the MLR team and Marketing Operations.
  • Oversee the release of approved materials for distribution.
  • Manage a large cross-functional team and work directly with internal and external advertising agencies.
  • Provide tactical support and project timeline oversight of materials through MRP.
  • Act as a consultant and trainer on the MRP, supporting team members responsible for uploading and approving materials.
  • Manage and develop a staff of project managers.
  • Proactively seek and implement ways to improve agility by streamlining and simplifying internal processes.
  • Attend brand and tactical planning meetings to understand upcoming workload and communicate accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 7+ years of Project Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry highly preferred.
  • Subject matter expert in understanding the material review process and associated policies and systems.
  • Strong expertise in Veeva PromoMats; working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience in print and digital formats.
  • Knowledge and prior experience in marketing, communication, or advertising agency.
  • Lead or participate in a product launch initiative.
  • Possesses the ability to learn and adapt to other software tools as necessary.
