About the position

The Manager, Marketing Operations for Technology Optimization plays a crucial role in enhancing marketing capabilities through continuous improvement in process design and innovation within the MarTech stack. This position is responsible for translating enterprise, marketing, and product strategies into a clear and executable roadmap for the Marketing Technology & Process Enablement function. The Manager will lead a team of Senior Analysts and Analysts, ensuring the successful delivery of core projects while maintaining operational excellence. This includes evaluating third-party MarTech vendor scorecards and facilitating effective marketing workflow intake and prioritization. In collaboration with peers across Marketing, Product, IT, and EUX, the Manager will act as a trusted representative of Marketing Technology & Process Enablement. This role requires building strong partnerships with external vendors, managing contract negotiations, and defining success metrics. The Manager will also be expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, proactively proposing solutions and mentoring team members. Key responsibilities include delivering projects on time and within budget, developing business cases for new MarTech solutions, and fostering talent within the Marketing Tech & Process Enablement team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current uses and gaps in marketing technology to identify necessary features and enhancements or new solutions.
  • Develop KPIs to measure ongoing business impacts of marketing technology.
  • Gather business requirements and draft documentation outlining key needs and objectives.
  • Partner with MarTech and engineering teams to prioritize requests and manage overall governance of the systems.
  • Oversee third-party relationships, including project scope, SOWs, and contractual negotiations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for marketing technology solutions and internal software tools.
  • Conduct competitive research and analysis of marketing technology offerings.
  • Ensure effective change management, user training, project rollout, and ongoing support of technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of previous related work experience in marketing technology or operations.
  • Experience in software testing, business analysis, and workflow development.
  • Strong understanding of modern marketing processes and technology capabilities, including Marketing Resource Management, Marketing Analytics, and Customer Data Management.
  • Change management leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
