About the position

The Manager, Marketing Operations at Newell Brands is responsible for overseeing core brand and business processes within the Learning & Development segment. This role involves managing a team of Marketing Operations professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the overall success of marketing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a focus on efficiency, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key partner to the Brand team to address systemic challenges across multiple brands.
  • Build and implement tools, templates, and timelines to enhance the efficiency of brand teams in delivering key initiatives.
  • Monitor and govern the implementation of key processes to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Act as a liaison for the Learning & Development segment brand teams with cross-functional teams such as Sales Planning and Digital Marketing.
  • Collaborate with Brand Teams and cross-functional teams in daily operations.
  • Orchestrate recurring monthly internal meetings and annual brand planning sessions.
  • Lead review seeding campaigns with assistance from coordinators.
  • Review and improve processes to enhance efficiency continuously.
  • Manage new vendor setups and purchase orders, including invoice reconciliation.
  • Handle various ad hoc projects related to marketing execution.
  • Provide guidance, support, and performance reviews to team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, or marketing operations.
  • Experience managing people and developing talent and teams.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on meeting team and stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to handle both executional and strategic tasks effectively.
  • Experience managing through ambiguity in a matrix organization.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly with senior leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to leverage processes for efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of marketing competencies including brand strategy, budget allocation, and digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
