About the position

The Activation Manager for Marketing Planning and Strategy at Walmart Connect is a results-driven role focused on executing omni-channel integrated advertising programs. This position involves project coordination and management of marketing campaigns across various Walmart platforms, including in-store and online. The Activation Manager will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver high-impact solutions for clients, ensuring excellence in execution and alignment with Walmart's messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the execution of custom advertising initiatives and cross-SBU strategic enterprise programs for Walmart Connect clients.
  • Work closely with Walmart+ and Walmart's Corporate Responsibility teams to execute programs that drive advertiser engagement and WMC advertising revenue.
  • Partner with Walmart Enterprise Marketing, Walmart Connect Integrated Marketing, and Lightbox Creative teams to manage timelines, creative deliverables, and traffic assets based on supplier needs and priorities.
  • Collaborate across Walmart Connect and external media partners to ensure consistency between Walmart's advertisers' initiatives and Walmart's messaging.
  • Assist in the management approvals, execution, and measurement of marketing campaigns.
  • Provide support for general department day-to-day functions, such as owning tracking documents.
  • Deliver best-in-class communication across the Walmart organization.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming and working sessions across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate a spirit of partnership, collaboration, and operational agility and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in retail, agency, e-commerce, ad sales marketing, advertising media or related field.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in project coordination encouraged and preferred.
  • Highly collaborative, team player, with the ability to build relationships across multiple levels and departments.
  • Understanding of shopper marketing, account management, and retail media or digital media landscape.
