About the position

The Marketing Procurement Manager at Royal Caribbean Group will serve as the Corporate Marketing Procurement Leader and a subject matter expert, providing direct support to internal marketing business teams across the enterprise. This role requires a broad industry knowledge of advertising, traditional media, digital marketing, and in-house corporate marketing. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner with internal business teams, engaging with both new and existing external vendors regularly. The position is responsible for both short- and long-term planning for contracted services and will involve regular interaction and presentations to executive leadership. The Marketing Procurement Manager will engage with various teams across the enterprise for contract engagements and will serve as the primary point of contact for negotiations, business structure, and payment models. This role is primarily responsible for commercial contract support across the company, collaborating with other stakeholder teams including legal, finance, privacy, and accounting, as well as executive sponsors. The essential duties include developing and implementing marketing sourcing strategies based on a solid understanding of marketing agencies and the media and advertising industry. The candidate should have direct experience or knowledge of industry-specific software, platforms, and online tools. They will support business teams in identifying, communicating, and creating project plans for specific projects or ongoing service providers. The Marketing Procurement Manager will lead cost savings and service improvement initiatives across the brands covering all marketing channels, capturing and communicating all savings for reporting purposes. A strong understanding of corporate contracts is essential, as the candidate will manage specific contracts through complex negotiations and levels of approval with both internal stakeholders and external partners and vendors. The role also involves identifying enterprise opportunities to leverage across other brands for services to achieve cost efficiencies. The Marketing Procurement Manager will manage a small and effective professional procurement team, providing comprehensive training and guidance regarding product specifications, market trends, negotiation strategies, and contractual terms and conditions. They will communicate and present clear plans and cost impacts to upper management and contribute to the company's contracting templates, working directly with in-house legal teams. Regular financial reporting in support of annual KPIs for savings and value targets will also be a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Corporate Marketing Procurement Leader and subject matter expert to support internal marketing business teams.
  • Develop and implement marketing sourcing strategies based on understanding of marketing agencies and media.
  • Lead cost savings and service improvement initiatives across all marketing channels.
  • Manage complex multi-year contracts and agreements with values often exceeding $50M.
  • Negotiate price, scope, services, and payment schedules on a per contract, per project basis.
  • Support business teams in identifying, communicating, and creating project plans for specific projects or ongoing service providers.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to identify appropriate vendors and procure estimates and bids.
  • Communicate and present clear plans and cost impacts to upper management.
  • Provide comprehensive training and guidance to the procurement team regarding product specifications and market trends.
  • Responsible for regular financial reporting in support of annual KPIs for savings and value targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in a related field.
  • 8+ years of related experience with an emphasis in procuring marketing services and products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong contract negotiation and communication skills required.
  • Previous managerial experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
