About the position

Join the Royal Caribbean Group as a Marketing Procurement Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our internal marketing business teams across the enterprise. This full-time position, based in Miami, Florida, reports to the Senior Manager of Procurement and requires a strategic partner who can engage with both new and existing external vendors. As the Corporate Marketing Procurement Leader, you will leverage your broad industry knowledge in advertising, traditional media, digital marketing, and in-house corporate marketing to develop and implement effective marketing sourcing strategies. Your expertise will be essential in managing commercial contracts and providing support to various stakeholder teams, including legal, finance, privacy, and accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for short- and long-term planning for contracted services, engaging with executive leadership, and serving as the primary point of contact for negotiations and project structures. You will lead cost savings and service improvement initiatives across all marketing channels, ensuring that all savings are captured and communicated for reporting purposes. Your ability to manage complex negotiations and approvals will be crucial as you identify enterprise opportunities to leverage services across different brands, achieving cost efficiencies and enhancing overall procurement processes. You will also manage a small procurement team, providing training and guidance on product specifications, market trends, and negotiation strategies. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment, presenting clear plans and cost impacts to upper management. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the company's contracting templates and drive positive process changes while supporting the corporate contract policy and terms with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Corporate Marketing Procurement Leader and subject matter expert to support internal marketing business teams.
  • Develop and implement marketing sourcing strategies based on a solid understanding of the marketing agencies and media advertising industry.
  • Lead cost savings and service improvement initiatives across all marketing channels.
  • Manage complex multi-year contracts and agreements with values often exceeding $50M.
  • Negotiate price, scope, services, and payment schedules on a per contract basis.
  • Support business teams in identifying, communicating, and creating project plans for specific projects or ongoing service providers.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to identify appropriate vendors and procure estimates and bids for ongoing engagements and project work.
  • Communicate and present clear plans and cost impacts to upper management.
  • Provide comprehensive training and guidance to the procurement team regarding product specifications and negotiation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 8+ years of related experience in procuring marketing services and products or similar marketing background.
  • Strong knowledge of contract negotiation and communication skills.
  • Previous managerial experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
