The Manager of Marketing and Public Relations at Baylor Scott & White Health plays a crucial role in aligning the medical center's goals with market opportunities. In this role, the manager will collaborate closely with the regional marketing director to contribute insights related to new mover strategies, hospital website enhancements, local branding initiatives, and community relations efforts. The manager will also be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing specific local branding strategies that resonate with the community. Evaluating the effectiveness of direct mail campaigns and recommending adjustments will be a key responsibility, as will participating in various administrative and physician meetings to ensure alignment with the hospital's objectives. Additionally, the manager will oversee the community relations budget, track community benefit activities, and assist in planning and reporting as needed. This position requires a proactive approach to media relations, providing local responses and assistance in collaboration with the BSWH news media team. The manager will also coordinate marketing materials as required by clinical and marketing teams, ensuring that all activities reflect the mission, vision, and values of Baylor Scott & White Health.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medical center goals and priorities along with marketplace opportunities.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and community relations activities.
  • Provide guidance and coordination of hospital marketing efforts.
  • Monitor results and initiate best practices for areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate strategies for optimal results from team efforts.
  • Serve as a resource to the regional marketing director on various initiatives.
  • Assist in developing short-term and long-term marketing strategies.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain the community relations budget.
  • Track community benefit activity in CBISA and assist in planning and reporting.
  • Respond to news media relations activities in collaboration with the BSWH news media team.
  • Coordinate marketing materials as needed by clinical and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years of experience in marketing and public relations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an agile environment.
  • Strong executive presence and collaboration skills.
