About the position

The Manager, Marketing Resource Management Operations is responsible for overseeing resource allocation and optimizing resource utilization across projects and departments, particularly within the creative department. This role involves developing strong relationships with various stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of advertising deliverables and achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities, contributing to a culture of agility and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement resource planning strategies to align resource allocation with project demands and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with program managers, department heads, and stakeholders to understand resource requirements and project timelines.
  • Optimize resource utilization by identifying and resolving conflicts, bottlenecks, or imbalances in resource allocation.
  • Track and report on resource utilization, analyzing data and providing suggestions for resource optimization.
  • Monitor resource utilization trends and make proactive adjustments to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of available resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring their availability and suitability for projects.
  • Coordinate with external resourcing firms, procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure timely availability of resources as per project requirements.
  • Implement and maintain resource management tools, systems, and processes to enhance visibility, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in resource management, applying relevant knowledge to improve organizational processes.

Requirements

  • 3-6+ years' experience in resource planning, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation, and optimization principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using resource management software and tools to track, analyze, and report on resource utilization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, bring options, and provide recommendations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the area of marketing and advertising beneficial, creative agency experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, and experience in other Microsoft Office applications, Smartsheet, Workfront, and SharePoint preferred.
