About the position

The Manager of Marketing Technology and Operations at Highmark Health is responsible for leading the optimization and transformation of marketing operations processes. This role focuses on driving efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation within the marketing function, requiring a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in organizational change. The successful candidate will possess operations expertise to optimize marketing processes and supporting technology, along with leadership skills to guide teams through significant transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform management responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff productivity.
  • Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the day-to-day operations of the marketing department.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive 3-5-year marketing operations transformation roadmap.
  • Implement and optimize marketing work management tools such as Adobe Workfront and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Establish a marketing operations center of excellence to drive best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Implement agile methodologies to increase speed-to-market and scalability.
  • Architect and implement a future-state vision for the marketing operations technology stack.
  • Evaluate and implement Gen AI tools to enhance marketing operations and content development.
  • Drive a culture of data-driven decision making and operational excellence.
  • Develop a governance framework for rapid experimentation and iteration of marketing operation strategies.
  • Regularly report transformation progress to marketing leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including developing communication plans and training programs.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of marketing operations specialists.
  • Develop and manage the budget for marketing operations transformation initiatives.
  • Develop a comprehensive framework for measuring marketing operations ROI.
  • Implement performance dashboards providing real-time insights to drive decision making.

Requirements

  • 5 years of management or leadership experience.
  • 5 years of experience in marketing operations implementation and optimization.
  • 5 years of proven track record in leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • 5 years of expert knowledge of marketing work management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of deep expertise in marketing operations technology, data analytics, and agile methodologies.
  • 5 years of professional experience using technology, tools, and AI in a marketing function.
  • 3 years of experience in managing budgets and diverse teams.
