About the position

The Manager, Materials Management Inventory Dynamics & Logistical Analytic is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the MTA supply chain. This role involves overseeing inventory analytics, supporting various user groups, and implementing standardized reporting to meet supply chain requirements across different agencies. The manager will also liaise with user groups to provide analytical support and training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Translate operational maintenance forecasted requirements data into tools for inventory needs.
• Ensure operational requirements align with budgetary and location constraints for efficient supply chain management.
• Monitor and control the Agency's inventory budget exceeding $100M.
• Manage data validation on all inventory management applications.
• Develop analytical tools and interpretations to enhance distribution network effectiveness.
• Review data output and recommend improvements to warehousing operations.
• Create innovative reporting for better decision-making in inventory management.
• Foster an environment of creativity, learning, and development for employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, Transportation, Public Policy, Industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory and/or leadership abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• An advanced degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with MTA's policies and procedures.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Commodity Management Systems (CMS), Talon / Materials Management System (MMS), Planner Initiated Expediting System (PIES), Logical Inventory Management System (LIMS), and Maximo.
