About the position

The MP&L Business Process Strategy Manager at Ford Motor Company is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic action plans related to materials management and supply chain operations. This role involves collaborating across various teams to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and drive the industrial transformation objectives of the company. The manager will focus on building and governing mechanical controls, developing teams, and ensuring alignment with the Ford Production System while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and govern MP&L business processes and KPI performance.
  • Build a clear vision and deploy standard business processes with appropriate metrics.
  • Determine actionable projects and ensure optimal execution of improvement initiatives.
  • Lead MP&L Global industrial system transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate with regional and plant manufacturing teams on strategic supply chain initiatives.
  • Design processes for logistics/materials optimization for product planning and launch.
  • Identify, analyze, and document current state processes across global locations.
  • Develop and implement standardized best-practice processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Ford Production System methodologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvement technologies and systems, focusing on AI productivity.
  • Work with IT to implement and maintain process-related software and applications.
  • Enhance supply chain process integration with Global Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and external suppliers.
  • Engage manufacturing MP&L early in discussions to ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Facilitate regional teams to drive towards common processes and support the Global MP&L team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or digital systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of ERP systems and Edge Applications.
  • Strong business processes and production systems knowledge.
  • Financial acumen to make trade-off decisions based on business value drivers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or digital systems.
  • Technical foundation to communicate effectively with Industrial System teams.
  • Experience in both automotive and non-automotive industries.
