About the position

The Manager of Mortgage Production is primarily responsible for overseeing a team of Mortgage originators within a designated region. This role involves establishing and monitoring production goals, coaching and motivating the origination staff, and managing the Mortgage Division's relationships with other business lines within the region. The manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that the origination staff achieves their production goals and will assist in the recruitment and development of new originators. In this position, the manager will conduct regular sales production meetings on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to drive performance and ensure that the team is aligned with the company's objectives. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for organizing and supervising local marketing efforts to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of the mortgage services offered. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with external organizations, including the local Board of Realtors, Builders Association, and Mortgage Bankers Association, to foster collaboration and referral opportunities. The manager will work closely with the Mortgage Operations Team to ensure that service level times are met during the origination, processing, and closing phases. Staying current on developments, applicable laws, and regulations within the mortgage field is essential to ensure compliance and effective management of the team. This position requires a proactive approach to developing and maintaining relationships with other lines of business within the bank and external referral sources such as Realtors and Builders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a group of Mortgage originators within the region.

  • Assist in organizing and supervising local marketing efforts.
  • Manage the Mortgage Division's relationships with other lines of business within the region.
  • Act as the primary contact for external organizations such as the local Board of Realtors and Builders Association.
  • Ensure the origination staff achieves their production goals.
  • Assist the origination staff in improving industry knowledge and sales ability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external referral sources such as Realtors and Builders.
  • Collaborate with the Mortgage Operations Team to meet service level times on origination, processing, and closing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience in Mortgage Origination.
  • Advanced knowledge of Trust administration and operations.
  • Thorough understanding of the banking industry and operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulations applicable to the trust industry.
  • Ability to handle complex assignments and projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) under the SAFE Act of 2008.
