About the position

The Manager, NAND/SSD Business Enablement at Samsung Semiconductor is responsible for managing technical accounts related to Enterprise SSD/NAND business in the Austin, TX region. This role focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and providing optimal SSD technologies and solutions to maximize sales contributions. The position requires strategic input to the headquarters in Korea regarding industry trends and involves direct interaction with customers to ensure technology leadership and sales enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify all SSD design-in opportunities and provide the best solutions for the customer(s) including technology, specific application type, cost competitiveness, market demand/sector, lifecycle, global qualification activities, and technical data to secure maximum design-wins.
  • Manage customer relationships to assure technology leadership is maintained and sales are maximized.
  • Act as an escalation path for internal or external obstacles impeding key design wins.
  • Provide strategic input to Korea HQ regarding SSD/NAND industry or application technology trends to create new product offerings or improve strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Visit and interact directly with customers to maintain product roadmap updates.
  • Track and report project details, design-in and qualifications plans, as well as competitive analysis in roadmap, process technology, and qualification status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or related Physical Science with 10+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 8+ years of industry experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Professional work experience in semiconductor technology or memory field with customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Exceptional people skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
  • Prior Flash NAND or Storage (SSD/HDD) engineering experience and direct communication interface experience with customers.
