About the position

The Manager of National B2B Sales & Distribution Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the B2B business unit and supporting operations within a well-established E-Commerce retail/wholesaler in the home improvement sector. This hands-on position involves managing inside sales, customer service, and order fulfillment operations to ensure a seamless customer experience. The role requires strong leadership skills to motivate a team of over 10 members and to implement strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of inside sales, customer services, and order fulfillment logistics throughout the US.
  • Monitor customer experience outcomes to identify needs and implement changes that increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of customer sales/service representatives both on-site and at remote call centers.
  • Manage fulfillment delivery with multiple 3PL partners and direct ship manufacturers to ensure accurate processing and rapid delivery of customer orders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex customer issues, driving effective resolutions and long-term improvements.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve unique challenges and deliver tailored solutions for exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Advocate for best practices to drive measurable growth in customer retention and repeat business.
  • Manage profit/loss outcomes related to responsibilities.
  • Contribute observations and strategies to positively impact financial performance as a member of the senior management team.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience in sales/service/distribution operations.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales and service terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, 3PL operations, and inventory management systems.
  • Proficient in ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to building solid relationships.
  • Skilled in creatively resolving complex customer or supplier issues professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
