About the position

The Manager - National Sales at The Venetian Las Vegas is responsible for developing and contracting business opportunities that align with the company's customer profile. This role focuses on meeting and exceeding sales quotas and financial objectives through effective solicitation, negotiation, and account management. The position requires a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs, as well as the ability to communicate the unique value proposition of the property to potential clients.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed quotas and financial objectives set by Management.
  • Solicit existing and prospective target accounts and qualify leads within defined market segments.
  • Develop and maintain an account base that produces revenue for the company.
  • Timely follow-up with customers on assigned leads and commitments.
  • Implement sales action plans for designated market segments, including various solicitation methods.
  • Manage effectively within defined sales roles and internal processes.
  • Position the benefits of the property to align with customer priorities.
  • Engage customers by linking their business priorities to the company's value proposition.
  • Become a subject matter expert on economic and industry trends.
  • Understand the customer buying process and manage conversations to favorable outcomes.
  • Accurately forecast and report on the sales pipeline.
  • Engage with cross-functional departmental leaders to understand available products and services.
  • Travel for sales calls, site inspections, and networking events as needed.
  • Document sales activities and client information in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • 5 years of professional hotel sales experience at a luxury property.
  • 2 years of experience selling large complex group business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Contract negotiation and customer relations skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales processes.
