About the position

Gotham Greens is seeking a National Sales Manager to drive strategic growth and revenue generation for key national accounts. This role focuses on building existing business and developing new customers across the nation and regionally. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainable agriculture and will work closely with sales representatives and brokers to meet customer needs while aligning with the company's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Grow topline revenue, profit, and market share by identifying strategic growth opportunities.
  • Work with the sales leadership team to manage product pricing and trade spend.
  • Develop trusting relationships with key clients and maintain customer relationships throughout the retail channel.
  • Sustain and grow business with existing customers.
  • Manage communication between national accounts, regional accounts, and internal teams.
  • Partner with marketing to execute consumer-facing marketing plans relevant to the retail channel.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales materials for account presentations.
  • Analyze syndicated data for sales pitches and presentations.
  • Participate in industry initiatives, including trade shows and conferences.
  • Negotiate key account contracts to align customer needs with the company's sales strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the food industry.
  • Prior experience calling on leading national retailers, distributors, and operators.
  • Knowledge of key account contacts in the retail industry.
  • Experience in key account management and lead generation.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of syndicated data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in SaaS digital tools such as MS Office, Teams, Salesforce, Asana.
  • Ability to travel to key accounts and company office locations.

  • Experience in cold calling and networking.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
