About the position

The Manager of Network Operations at Lumen is responsible for overseeing a team that ensures efficient management of Mass Markets plant locating and vendor management functions. This role involves supervising project management, engineering, and analyst teams to maintain operational performance and customer experience across multiple states. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to manage vendor relationships and address regulatory concerns.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project management responsible for operational locate performance and customer experience between Lumen and vendors.
• Oversee operations engineering responsible for GIS plant record updates to 811 and vendors for the entire network.
• Manage analyst functions responsible for billing audits and processing, including liquidated damages offset.
• Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams for contractual interpretations and accountability.
• Interact with state agencies (811) across the Mass Markets network and the Enterprise network.
• Partner with regulatory teams to address state and local government locate concerns, including audits and negotiations of fines.
• Support locate-associated damage mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 5-7 years of related experience.
• 1+ year of previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
