About the position

The Manager of Network Operations at Lumen is responsible for overseeing a team that ensures efficient management of Mass Markets plant locating and vendor management functions. This role involves supervising project management, engineering, and analyst teams to maintain operational performance and customer experience across multiple states. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to manage vendor relationships and address regulatory concerns.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project management, engineering, and analyst teams to ensure operational locate performance and customer experience.
• Manage $100M vendor contracts across 16 states for locates on the Mass Markets network.
• Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams for contractual interpretations and recommendations to Operation executives.
• Interact with state agencies (811) regarding locate services and compliance.
• Partner with regulatory teams to address state and local government locate concerns, including audits and negotiations.
• Support damage mitigation related to locate operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 5-7 years of related experience in network operations or project management.
• 1+ year of previous supervisory or leadership experience.
