About the position

The Manager of New Product Project Management at Kendo is responsible for leading new product launches from concept to delivery. This role emphasizes effective communication and problem-solving to ensure successful product delivery while balancing scope, time, and cost. The manager collaborates with various teams, including Product Development, Packaging, and Supply Chain, to enhance the New Product Development (NPD) process and address inefficiencies, ultimately setting the teams up for success.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a SmartSheet timeline for each new product launch from development to delivery across multiple channels and brands, including dependencies, owners, deadlines, and durations.
  • Communicate project status, risk, and feasibility to teams and leadership to facilitate timely project decision-making.
  • Lead proactive problem-solving and ensure completion of all deliverables with cross-functional teams to mitigate issues impacting project cost, time, and quality.
  • Conduct key tactical operations, vendor calls, and cross-functional team meetings.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to establish project plans.
  • Create and maintain the project tracker, serving as the project source of truth for visibility and discussion.
  • Evaluate the end-to-end NPD process and recommend improvements as a subject matter expert.
  • Perform project post-mortems to identify key learnings and takeaways.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience leading new product launches in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), preferably in Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Health & Beauty.
  • Project management experience with global contract manufacturers and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Change Management, Product Development, Packaging Development, or Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet or other project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while driving accountability with partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
