About the position

The Manager, Night Warehouse is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations with a focus on safety, service, and cost efficiency. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring the safe and timely handling of products, and fostering a positive work culture among warehouse associates. The manager will lead by example, engage with staff, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to ensure all associates remain injury-free.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching and training.
• Create a cohesive organization by maintaining open communication and directing workflow.
• Direct and supervise the productivity of associates within the warehouse department.
• Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring personnel.
• Lead associates to achieve accurate order staging and loading.
• Monitor operational information to ensure productivity rates are met.
• Designate dock locations for inbound carriers and ensure proper stocking of products.
• Maintain the physical condition and safety of the warehouse and equipment.
• Work with management to identify sources of inventory shrink and develop action plans.
• Regularly inspect the facility for safety hazards and maintain compliance with sanitation requirements.
• Effectively schedule working shifts using planning tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• HACCP certification is a plus.
• PCQI certification is a plus.
