About The Position

The Manager of Nursing at the Early Intervention LSU Mid City Clinic is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a primary care site, with a strong emphasis on fostering positive relationships between physicians and staff, enhancing customer service, and managing financial aspects of the clinic. This role is designed specifically for the Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) Physician Group Model, which includes practices with five or more providers or any specialty practice. The manager will coordinate clinic operations by aligning administrative policies with physician preferences and patient needs, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders involved. In this leadership role, the manager supervises all front and back office staff, conducting weekly staff meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration. They act as a liaison between support staff and physicians, facilitating a positive work environment. The manager is responsible for all aspects of practice staff employment, including interviewing, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions. They maintain accurate employee files, manage time cards, and report total hours worked to payroll. Additionally, the manager defines and assists with continuing education for all staff members and monitors physician contracts for compliance. The manager demonstrates a strong customer service attitude, responding promptly to patient complaints and employee conflicts to promote a culture of service excellence. They maintain open lines of communication with hospital departments, referring physicians, and staff physicians, and actively participate in initiatives aimed at continuously improving quality across departments. In terms of program management and daily operations, the manager has the authority to purchase daily operational supplies and is responsible for maintaining inventory control of all general office and medical supplies. They prepare operational, manpower, and capital budgets, ensuring adherence to financial and operational guidelines. The manager also oversees billing and collection functions, ensuring compliance with provider contracts and collection policies, while maintaining a collection ratio of 95% of collectible monies. The manager ensures compliance with insurance policies and procedures, as well as OSHA, CLIA, and COLA standards, and is responsible for administering and tracking physician employment benefits. They participate in safety practices and adhere to established policies, including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary. The role may also involve performing other duties as assigned or requested, making it a dynamic and multifaceted position within the clinic.
