About the position

The Accounting Operations Manager at HealthPlanOne is responsible for enhancing and leading all accounting operations, including revenue, invoicing, collections, purchasing, sourcing, payables, and treasury management. The role aims to deliver timely and accurate financial transactions while optimizing systems and processes to support a 3-day operational accounting close. This position involves direct supervision of the Accounting Operation Team and collaboration with various departments to ensure effective financial management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and lead all accounting operations including revenue, invoicing, collections, purchasing, sourcing, payables, and treasury management.
• Partner with Administrative Systems to maintain and optimize Workday.
• Manage the purchasing to payment lifecycle from policy to daily execution to reporting.
• Oversee the management of vendor partner platform (LogicSource) for P2P activities.
• Consult on system implementation or enhancements needed.
• Manage accounts receivable specialist and daily activities.
• Collaborate with FP&A to review Carrier Services business performance and operational metrics.
• Plan and manage collection activities to meet DSO goals.
• Monitor cash position and update 13 to 26 week cash forecast with FP&A and Reporting teams.
• Manage daily monitoring, accounting, and reconciliation of Brokerage Policies in Workday.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7 - 9 years of progressive Accounting, Accounting Operations, or Finance expertise.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Strong analytical thinking capability with success in solving complex questions.
• Strategic ability to understand business direction and suggest course changes.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with Workday, Concur, and Logic Source Purchasing/Sourcing platform.
