About the position

The Manager of Accounting Services is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Accounting Division, ensuring efficient service delivery, and providing complex administrative support to the Finance Director. This role involves managing staff, developing policies, coordinating audits, and preparing financial reports, all while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the Accounting Division.
• Coordinate accounting activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance Director.
• Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned divisions.
• Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate accounting staff.
• Plan and direct the work of assigned Division staff, assigning work activities and monitoring workflow.
• Review and verify documents and forms for the assigned Division, including invoices and vendor data.
• Coordinate annual independent audits and assist audit staff as necessary.
• Prepare and analyze complex financial and administrative reports.
• Manage the development and administration of assigned Division annual budgets.
• Attend professional groups and stay abreast of new trends in fund accounting and tax collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Seven to ten years of experience in financial and accounting administration, including fund accounting.
• Four years of supervisory experience.
• CPA license or CGFM certification is strongly preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves
