The Manager of Business Development Operations is responsible for developing long-term training and self-service strategies while managing the onboarding and contracting processes and teams. Their main focus is to provide an efficient and effective onboarding process that will maximize supplier satisfaction while optimizing SKU growth and reducing costs. This role involves developing and implementing strategies based on analysis of data that supports SKU growth with regards to recommendations from various business stakeholders such as merchandising and partner care. The Manager is expected to build internal and external relationships by creating value and opportunities for Overstock and its many Suppliers. In this role, the Manager will lead and direct a team of trainers and contracting associates, define overarching goals with a focus on forward-looking strategy, and drive ongoing process improvement to deliver increasing efficiency in all processes. They will identify roadblocks and provide solutions to allow for maximum automation and self-service, ensuring associates follow up with potential and new Suppliers to move them through the acquisition and onboarding process. The Manager will also document and maintain reporting of the onboarding pipeline at each stage of the process, communicate to business stakeholders the status of all new suppliers' progress, and continually research new training strategies to optimize partner onboarding. Regular collaboration with partners on potential program and system improvements is also expected, along with maintaining and creating training materials to reflect all new processes and policies.
