About the position

The Manager of Business Intelligence and Sales Operations at Henkel is a pivotal role responsible for leading the business analytics strategy and ensuring effective data management and visualization. This position focuses on establishing a central point of truth for performance metrics, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, and mentoring the analyst community. The role requires a strategic mindset and technical proficiency in data analytics tools to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the business analytics strategy and development roadmap to support business objectives and priorities.
  • Lead the execution of the dashboard development roadmap; launch accurate, insightful, and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
  • Establish standards for structuring 3rd party data within the Henkel data management infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend BI tools to enhance data analytics capabilities.
  • Manage business intelligence projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide professional development and mentorship for the analyst community through coaching and partnering with HR.
  • Lead prioritized continuous improvement projects in support of the Sales Organization.
  • Maintain a pulse on industry trends and best practices relating to business intelligence and analytics.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to establish KPIs and establish reports/dashboards with a focus on customer and market performance.
  • Partner with Henkel global IT, DQM, and Analytics partners to implement best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in category management or a similar role within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools, preferably Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining data management platforms (i.e., data lake).
  • Experience with leveraging customer point of sale (POS) data to measure and optimize performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics techniques and methodologies.
