About the position

The Manager of Business Operations at Unistel Industries is responsible for overseeing sales and business functions, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals and the company's mission. This role involves direct supervision of key personnel, collaboration with production management, and the development of sales strategies to enhance product sales and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and potential customers to advance Unistel spice product sales.
  • Direct supervision of the senior buyer, order entry specialist, cost accountant, and business developer, including hiring, training, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Production to ensure adequate equipment and materials for production.
  • Become proficient in order entry, shipping processes, and purchasing details to effectively manage these areas.
  • Oversee inventory controls using SAGE and run reports as needed.
  • Monitor Business Development efforts and manage the CRM, passing potential customers to the Business Developer.
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of an annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure appropriate strategies for current and new opportunities.
  • Compile and analyze sales figures and prepare regular sales data reports for Leadership.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Unistel spice products and operations, staying updated on products and competitors.
  • Network with sales professionals in the spice or food industry.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Procurement, Finance, Marketing, etc., to ensure timely manufacturing of new products.
  • Participate in various Unistel and CDS Life Transitions meetings and committees as assigned.
  • Assist with production efforts as needed to meet production needs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in Business, Marketing, or Business Operations.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in food sales and distribution.
  • Experience in food manufacturing and processing, preferably in the spice industry.
  • Sales CRM knowledge and experience with established software packages.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven sales track record demonstrating ability to forecast and meet targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and resolve issues with strong influencing skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Initiative and leadership skills when required.
