About the position

The Manager of Campus Operations and Safety is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, safety, and security of the Making Waves Academy campus. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a team dedicated to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment. The manager will coordinate facility maintenance, supervise custodial staff, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while fostering a collaborative atmosphere among staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise duties of the team, including daily campus supervision and safety issue resolution.
• Implement and maintain a work order/capital forecast reporting system.
• Supervise the work of outside contractors and vendors for maintenance tasks.
• Forecast, allocate, and supervise financial and physical resources for custodial and safety management.
• Identify security and safety hazards and submit requests for maintenance projects.
• Develop a plan for 24-hour coverage for building usage and emergencies.
• Support the development and implementation of safety systems and response plans.
• Oversee the supervision of school activities and facilities for safety.
• Maintain inspection records, permits, and internal facility audits.
• Drive collaboration between various school staff to ensure safety and communication.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in safety and security, preferably in a school environment.
• Minimum 5 years experience in coordination of building maintenance and custodial work.
• 3-5 years of experience supervising employees with effective team leadership.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing complex projects.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety rules, regulations, and policies.
