About the position

The Manager of Community and Supportive Services at Ingerman Management Company is responsible for overseeing the administration of supportive service activities at assigned properties. This role includes supervising Community and Supportive Service Coordinators, coordinating service plans, and ensuring the delivery of essential services to residents. The manager will also engage with community-based agencies to enhance service offerings and promote educational events for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of Community and Supportive Service Coordinators.
  • Coordinate the implementation of supportive service plans at assigned properties.
  • Identify and maintain networks of community-based supportive and social service agencies.
  • Develop a resource directory of service providers for residents and property management.
  • Provide general case management and referral services to residents needing assistance.
  • Refer residents to service providers for various services including job readiness and health screenings.
  • Prepare reports on supportive service activities and liaise with non-profit partners and governmental committees.
  • Promote on-site educational events related to healthcare and life skills training.
  • Provide technical assistance to residents and resident councils in program establishment and fundraising.
  • Coordinate training for residents on management responsibilities and tenancy obligations.
  • Set up volunteer support programs with community service providers.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • College degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in human services.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in property management.
  • Sound interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish relationships across the organization.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
