About the position

MUSC Health is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to take on a leadership role within the Regional Health Network (RHN). The CRNA will be responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of the Anesthesia division across multiple locations, ensuring collaboration with health professionals in a respectful and accountable environment. This position involves overseeing the division's operations on a 24-hour basis and requires strong leadership and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the provision of anesthesia services in collaboration with health professionals.
  • Plan and manage the comprehensive operations of the Anesthesia division.
  • Promote interprofessional collaboration and manage strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate, monitor, and evaluate activities to meet employee and organizational goals.
  • Establish operating procedures and enhance clinical workflows to improve quality outcomes.
  • Identify improvements in clinical processes and patient management.
  • Empower and motivate team members to reach their highest potential.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
  • Master's degree in nursing, Nurse Anesthesia, or a health-related field.
  • Five years or more of clinical practice experience as a CRNA.
  • Three years of progressive leadership experience in a CRNA setting.
  • Current South Carolina APRN licensure - CRNA certified by the NBCRNA.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) preferred.
