The Manager of Digital Marketing at Space Center Houston is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance audience engagement, drive visitation, and promote the brand. This role involves collaboration with various departments and partners to grow the organization's digital presence and manage digital content effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with Space Center Houston's mission.
  • Lead digital campaigns to promote key exhibits, events, and educational programs through various digital channels.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to assess marketing needs and create integrated marketing strategies.
  • Create and maintain a data-driven approach to digital marketing, setting clear performance metrics and providing regular reporting.
  • Advance a creative content strategy that amplifies organizational messaging and ensures content is optimized for search engines.
  • Manage digital content across the organization's website, social media platforms, and email newsletters.
  • Lead the development of multimedia content to engage a diverse audience.
  • Manage email marketing efforts, including audience segmentation and automation strategies.
  • Oversee social media strategy to increase engagement and brand visibility.
  • Manage the organization's website to support brand standards and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with external partners to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital campaigns and provide actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise in managing digital marketing campaigns including website content management, paid search, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Analytics, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Excellent writing skills for web and social media content, with knowledge of AP style.
  • Strong experience with A/B testing and marketing automation tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems like WordPress.
  • Experience integrating traditional marketing channels with digital campaigns is preferred.
  • High level of professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail in proofing and optimizing content for digital platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cultural institutions, museums, or science centers.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
