About the position

The Manager of Elderly Care Services at the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is responsible for overseeing the in-home care services program that assists elderly individuals and people with disabilities. This role involves managing a team of home care aides, ensuring compliance with contracts, and developing community outreach initiatives. The manager will also oversee the Golden Age Club programming, which provides activities for older adults, and will be involved in budget management and reporting to executive directors.

Responsibilities

• Manage CMAA's In-Home Care Services Department serving 400+ clients and employing 300+ home care aides.
• Conduct strategic outreach and marketing efforts for the In-Home Care Services program.
• Manage In-Home Care staff including coordinators, supervisors, and schedulers; provide direction and conduct performance evaluations.
• Oversee contracts with the Illinois Department on Aging and managed care organizations.
• Monitor department processes including billing, training, scheduling, and compliance standards.
• Oversee planning of Golden Age Club activities for older adults.
• Prepare department for funder audits and manage budgets.
• Partner with development staff to seek funding and complete grant reports.

Requirements

• BA or BS required; MA in Social Work, MBA, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated management experience.
• Prior experience in preparing and managing department budgets.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of long-range planning process.

• Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish) is a plus.
