The Manager of HR Operations at the University of Washington's Department of Pediatrics is a supervisory role responsible for overseeing HR operations, including faculty compensation, employee lifecycle activities, and compliance with HR policies and regulations. Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all faculty compensation changes and leaves.
• Develop service strategies, processes, and programs responsive to departmental needs.
• Direct day-to-day HR operations to meet departmental goals.
• Provide guidance and consultation on HR policies and best practices to department leaders.
• Manage Workday data and reporting for HR decision-making.
• Oversee FMLA requests and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
• Implement new employee orientation processes and on-boarding activities.
• Analyze and guide compensation requests submitted by managers.
• Coordinate department's AAMC Survey response and compensation committee initiatives.
• Lead process improvement initiatives for HR operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in Human Resources or Academic Medicine.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High proficiency in using Workday or other HRIS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
