Manager of Incident Response Team - Remote

About the position

The Manager of Incident Response Team at GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC. is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Incident Response Team across all service locations. This role involves implementing programs and best practices to enhance the company's emergency response capabilities, safety culture, and overall efficiency. The manager will provide leadership, training, and support to ensure that employees are prepared for safe work practices and can effectively respond to emergencies. This position requires collaboration with various teams and industry partners to continuously improve services and maintain compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the GrayMar teams and model GrayMar values.
• Ensure each employee is prepared and educated on safe work practices.
• Develop, coach, and train team members, providing ongoing feedback and motivation.
• Support coordination of move up and cover activities for planned and unplanned work.
• Manage unplanned or planned complex, multi-phase projects.
• Work with industry partners and customers to benchmark and enhance services.
• Continuously assess, enhance, and allocate specialized equipment and resources.
• Train employees and external customers, working cross-functionally with the Health and Safety Team.
• Develop peer trainers at all branch locations.
• Attend and participate in drills and exercises.
• Support unplanned and scheduled work, in person, as needed.
• Respond to emergencies as needed, 24/7, including holidays, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

• A.S./A.A. degree or equivalent training and certifications in HAZWOPER/Environmental industry.
• 8+ years of HAZWOPER/Environmental supervisor and project management experience; or 5+ years of HAZWOPER/Environmental experience with 3+ years of supervisor and project management experience in a comparable industry.
• 8+ years driving experience with a current and clean driving record.
• 3+ years of experience with computer applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Acrobat, and Excel.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of ICS, OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.
• Comprehensive knowledge in HAZWOPER and Environmental industry, specific to environmental remediation, industrial services, emergency response, and hazardous materials transportation and disposal.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with team members and on-site customer personnel.
• Ability to oversee assigned projects and delegate responsibilities to complete jobs in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills.
