The Manager of Marketing and Communications at The Children's Center of Wayne County is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, media relations, public relations, and digital communications for the agency. This role aims to enhance the organization's visibility and engagement through effective marketing strategies, social media management, and collaboration with various internal teams. The position requires a strong commitment to the agency's mission of supporting children and families, particularly in the areas of behavioral health and child welfare.

  • Develop and manage all marketing and communications projects and campaigns.
  • Oversee social media, paid marketing, and digital spaces to enhance TCC's online presence.
  • Collaborate with TCC leadership to implement digital growth strategies and branding campaigns.
  • Manage external creative teams, designers, and vendors for marketing materials.
  • Write and edit various communications materials including press releases, newsletters, and web content.
  • Utilize marketing performance metrics to drive future strategies and provide market research.
  • Develop TCC's annual marketing and communications budget in conjunction with leadership.
  • Serve as the liaison to the Board of Directors and the Marketing Committee.
  • Support the Philanthropy and Executive Leadership Team with external events and engagements.
  • Participate in required training and agency meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, or English preferred.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, implementing, and managing marketing and PR communications.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Proven track record of growing an organization's social media presence.
  • Experience in managing budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ability to learn and understand the organization's structure and services quickly.
  • Basic proficiency with computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Premiere.
  • Experience with HTML coding, CRM, and website production software.
  • Experience with social media management platforms like Hootsuite or Buffer.
