About the position

The Manager of Marketing and Game Promotions at Georgetown University is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans and promotions that support the commercial business areas, including collegiate athletics and university-wide corporate relationships. This role involves managing gameday promotions, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the professional delivery of marketing initiatives to enhance revenue and fan experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans and promotions for sponsorships, ticketing, and merchandising.
  • Manage the construction of the gameday promotional program, including script development.
  • Oversee the execution of all gameday promotional programs across GU Athletics sports.
  • Manage the implementation of the gameday run-of-show for Men's and Women's Basketball.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for LED graphics creation.
  • Assist in creating annual marketing plans for athletics and university platforms.
  • Manage community programs for Men's and Women's Basketball.
  • Assist with partnership activation planning with sponsors and internal staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 to 5 years of direct promotional experience in marketing.
  • Experience in college sports and game promotions preferred.
  • Knowledge of sports multimedia sales, ticket sales, and marketing communications.
  • Outstanding communication skills for interactions with partners and staff.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies.
