About the position

The Manager of Marketing and Public Relations at Rivers Health is a dynamic role focused on developing and executing marketing and communication strategies to enhance the organization's community presence. This position requires collaboration with senior leadership and the Marshall Health Network to align marketing initiatives with broader goals, while nurturing relationships with various stakeholders to build loyalty towards Rivers Health's programs and services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to craft a marketing strategy that enhances Rivers Health's community presence.
  • Monitor trends in public and physician relations and provide recommendations to strengthen RH's position as the preferred provider.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives in partnership with MHN's Strategic Marketing team.
  • Serve as the primary copywriter for RH, ensuring all content is accurate and consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Write and distribute news releases, feature stories, and other communications to highlight RH's services.
  • Plan and coordinate special events such as open houses and health fairs to foster community engagement.
  • Represent Rivers Health in community events and build relationships with local organizations.
  • Recruit and coordinate hospital speakers for civic and business events to educate the public on health-related topics.
  • Collaborate with the COO and MHN Strategic Marketing team to develop an annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Design and implement advertising campaigns that align with strategic objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Focus on internal communications to keep all stakeholders informed about hospital services and activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to increase hospital visibility and promote community engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with community stakeholders and local businesses to ensure ongoing support for RH's programs.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with providers and their office staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or public relations required.
  • Three years' experience in journalism, communications, or public relations required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PageMaker) and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of Silverstripe or other content management systems and experience with Google AdWords.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in journalism, communications, or public relations preferred.
