The Manager of New Franchise Sales at One River School of Art and Design is a pivotal role focused on expanding the franchise network of contemporary art schools across the U.S. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who possesses a strong background in franchise development and sales, particularly in service-related sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire franchise sales process, from initial outreach to closing deals, while fostering relationships with potential franchisees and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. As part of the team, the Manager of New Franchise Sales will play a crucial role in promoting the brand and its mission, ensuring that the franchise development department meets its sales goals and contributes to the overall growth of the organization. The role requires a proactive approach to networking and lead generation, utilizing existing connections and exploring new avenues to identify potential franchisees. The Manager will collaborate closely with the marketing team to create effective advertising strategies and will be expected to maintain accurate records in the CRM system. This position is primarily remote, demanding self-discipline and a results-oriented mindset, while also requiring participation in team meetings and events to foster collaboration and communication within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the franchise development and sales process with candidates through active networking and other methods.
  • Meet sales goals with an expectation of selling at least 10 franchises a year.
  • Identify leads using various sources, including leveraging existing networks.
  • Work independently and proactively report directly to the Executive team.
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to create advertising channels that reach the right market segment.
  • Completely manage the franchise sale process from initial contact to relationship building, educating prospective franchisees, conducting due diligence, and handling disclosures and FDD review.
  • Remain in touch with successful franchisees during the implementation phase and communicate all necessary information to the franchise onboarding coordinator.
  • Maintain and update data in Hubspot (CRM) and utilize data to create reports, benchmarks, and metrics.
  • Communicate the brand with passion and enthusiasm via extensive outreach and networking.
  • Attend outside events in person to develop a network of potential franchisees.
  • Collaborate with the entire One River team to leverage and maximize all opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years selling and closing franchise deals in service-related (non-food) franchise sales with a proven track record in breaking into new territories.
  • A track record in forming productive franchisee and franchisor relations.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and set goals for the Franchise Development department.
  • Negotiation skills and experience in vetting potential franchisees.
  • Experience in managing annual Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD) filings.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on relationship building with sophisticated prospects.
  • Team building and leadership experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of CRMs, database management, and Google Drive programs.
  • Passionate about creative education and able to foster that passion in others.
  • Great follow-up skills and results-driven attitude.
  • 4 Year Degree.
