Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a Manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology who The Cardiovascular Program Manager is a professional registered nurse who provides co-leadership and co-responsibility for the functions of assigned clinical patient care/procedural units to include the Methodist Heart Imaging Clinic and Methodist Cardiac Imaging Clinic. Ensure proper inventory of supplies, scheduling of personnel, maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, staff development, and is an effective physician liaison. Additionally, Cardiovascular Program Manager will work alongside the Cardiovascular Service Line Director and Quality Department to collaborate on Cardiovascular initiatives and educational opportunities for inpatient and outpatient patient care. The Cardiovascular Program Manager participates in the development of nursing education and programs that facilitate forward movement in nursing. Acts as a change agent by suggesting new or innovative approaches based on evidence-based nursing practices that result in improvements in quality outcomes. What You Will Do In Your Role: Provides leadership, support and oversight for Cardiac Outpatient Imaging, and Cardiac Rehab. Manages and provides guidance and direction to first line supervisors/charge personnel to include interviewing, work allocation, orientation and training, staff development, problem resolution, evaluating performance, making recommendations for personnel actions, and motivation of employees to achieve peak performance. Monitors department productivity to insure appropriate efficiency of departmental operations. Observance of the conditions of participations, requirements or regulations of The Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, and other regulatory agencies. Develops plans and presents educational activities within areas of expertise and directly or indirectly fosters the development of competence in the learner. Works with intra-or interdisciplinary teams, brainstorms and problem solves and participates in strategic planning. Serves as a change agent at the organizational, facility and department level. Facilitates the initiation of, adoption of, and adaptation to change and influences the necessary policies and procedures. What qualifications you will need: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. * Masters in Science in Nursing degree or related field preferred. * Two years minimum clinical experience in acute care nursing. * Three (3) to Five (5) years clinical experience preferred. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable). Preferred: * Prior experience in clinical nursing teaching, curriculum design, course development in a nursing academic organization and/or staff development preparation and delivery in acute healthcare setting or clinical Simulation Learning environment. Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: * RN License to practice as a professional registered nursing in the state of Texas or Active Multi-State RN Compact License, or GN Permit for RN's being hired into RN I position.
