About the position

The Manager of Operations Analysis at Montauk Renewables, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of facility operations, projects, and initiatives. This role serves as the primary liaison to finance, providing updates that impact forecasting and budgeting processes, and aims to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate, organize, and communicate action items and initiatives to increase quality and quantity of fuel supply.
  • Improve plant efficiency and availability by determining metrics to evaluate progress and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Report on the success or failure of initiatives based on completion within cost and schedule, and achievement of projected increases in fuel supply or production.
  • Reduce capital expenditures and critical spare costs, and operating expenses by separating and identifying fixed and variable costs of production.
  • Coordinate and prepare the operations rolling 18-month budget, including production labor, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Prepare KPI and recurring reporting, including facility dashboards and daily production and fuel supply reporting.
  • Support the development group in project modeling, including inlet fuel supply availability projections and operational expense requirements.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in business development, financial planning, and/or financial analysis.
  • RNG industry experience required.
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
