The Manager of Operations at MedStar Health Urgent Care is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple clinics, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and enhancing patient experience. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines and company policies in patient care, administration, human resources, and billing.
  • Oversee compliance in laboratory, radiology, dispensing, pharmaceuticals, and medications.
  • Assist the Director of Operations and VP of Operations in developing community relations plans for facilities.
  • Perform public relations functions and identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor referral processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
  • Plan and coordinate primary and specialty services with administrators at partner entities.
  • Support leadership in establishing annual goals for the facility.
  • Integrate processes and systems with internal and external administrators.
  • Prepare and present reports and statistical analysis as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to budget and manage staffing, equipment, and supply needs.
  • Establish and communicate staffing schedules with adequate notice.
  • Monitor and address facility, patient, physician, and employee needs.
  • Facilitate leadership meetings and staff meetings.
  • Select, train, orient, and assign facility staff.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of performance.
  • Resolve problems, conflicts, concerns, and complaints to maximize patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
