About the position

The position involves leading financial reporting, operations, and compliance functions for the Crisis Management Division at Tokio Marine HCC. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure adherence to compliance policies, provide financial analysis, and oversee operational processes. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and contribute to the growth of the division while ensuring the delivery of specialized insurance products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting, operations, and compliance functions for the Crisis Management Division.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Compliance teams to monitor compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Provide financial and operational reporting to the management team.
  • Oversee the operations department and manage internal and external audit requirements.
  • Work with the SVP Compliance to ensure adherence to compliance policies and develop additional policies as needed.
  • Liaise with the Director of Technology & Analytics to assist with IT projects and support the development of the division's reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in insurance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office 365.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in crisis management or related fields.
  • Familiarity with specialty insurance products.
