About the position

The Manager of Operations at Parkhurst Dining is responsible for overseeing a specific operation within a unit, such as a food court or convenience store, under the direction of the Director of Operations. This role focuses on client and customer satisfaction, financial results, and operational management, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and enhancing revenue while managing cash handling, inventory control, and labor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a food court, standalone concepts, or convenience store.
• Manage cash handling, inventory control, and labor.
• Ensure client, customer, and guest satisfaction by seeking feedback and coaching team members.
• Monitor financial performance and report variances to the general manager.
• Review weekly cost accountability and ensure budget guidelines are met.
• Monitor waste, overproduction, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Eight or more years of professional experience in food service management.
• Five or more years in a managerial role within food service.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Culinary, Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food service systems.
• Proven ability to lead other managers or supervisors.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft software programs.
• Basic skills in math and financial management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in managing operations with less than $1.5M in managed volume.
• Familiarity with customer satisfaction models like Smile Plus.
