The Manager of Portfolio Management at Siemens plays a crucial role in driving business volume and market share growth within the Process Automation Business Unit. This position involves leading a diverse team of Product Managers and Marketing Specialists, overseeing product management tasks, and ensuring alignment with global business objectives. The role focuses on market analysis, go-to-market strategies, and optimizing product lifecycle management to support the company's growth and competitive edge.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Process Automation Portfolio, overseeing local product launches, sales training, demo equipment, and local product requirements.
  • Review and optimize product management and marketing tasks to drive growth.
  • Create product business plans that identify US market opportunities and strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with the Process Automation Business Unit and Digital Industries to maintain portfolio visibility.
  • Develop and offer training for Siemens Sales, Sales support, and external partners.
  • Gather market requirements, competition, and pricing insights.
  • Advocate for US regional needs in global product development.
  • Serve as the primary product owner, collaborating with HQ to address and resolve US customer or product issues.
  • Manage the regional product roadmap and escalate product issues.
  • Address product issues including safety or recall topics.
  • Manage pricing and discounting to ensure margin targets are met.
  • Support operational product setup and related IT topics as the product expert.
  • Support and oversee demand-generation activities in line with strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor demand-generation performance to measure impact and ROI.
  • Leverage performance data to make informed decisions on future marketing investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technology field is required.
  • 10+ years of relevant leadership experience in product management, marketing, and/or portfolio development in a large corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of core Process Automation technologies and key customer markets.
  • Proven success in driving portfolio topics in industrial settings.
  • Experience in managing teams and leading change.
  • Skilled in developing and optimizing internal processes.
  • Strong delegation and market trend analysis skills.
  • Ability to influence and achieve results in a global matrixed organization.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
