About the position

As the Mechanical Engineering Manager at our leading warehouse automation company, you will be at the forefront of innovation, specializing in the design and production of advanced robotic systems. This role is pivotal as you will lead the mechanical engineering team responsible for transitioning our flagship humanoid warehouse robotic product from development to full-scale production. Your expertise will guide the mechanical engineering efforts, ensuring that the product not only meets but exceeds performance, reliability, and cost objectives. In this hands-on leadership position, you will oversee the design, development, and production readiness of mechanical systems. Your strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in robotics, will be essential as you navigate the complexities of taking these systems from concept through to mass production. You will be expected to foster a collaborative environment, working closely with your team to solve problems and drive the project forward in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Your leadership will be crucial in motivating and managing a talented team of engineers, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for implementing best practices in manufacturing processes, materials selection, and cost optimization techniques, all while maintaining a focus on innovation and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical engineering team in the design and production of robotic systems.
  • Oversee the transition of the humanoid warehouse robotic product from development to full-scale production.
  • Ensure that mechanical systems meet performance, reliability, and cost objectives.
  • Implement best practices in manufacturing processes and materials selection.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Manage and motivate the engineering team to achieve project goals.
  • Utilize CAD software and mechanical analysis tools for design and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of taking complex mechanical systems from concept to mass production.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost optimization techniques.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and mechanical analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the warehouse automation or robotics industry is highly desirable.
