About the position

The Manager of Sales Taxes & Licenses / Accounting is responsible for leading tax and licensing operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and overseeing sales tax reporting. This role requires collaboration with various teams to manage financial data, develop marketing strategies, and ensure timely and accurate filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, tax regulations, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and ensure compliance with state and local tax laws.
• Manage licensing renewals and registrations across various jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with marketing and administrative teams on project management and strategy development.
• Analyze financial data and provide detailed reports to support business decision-making.
• Work closely with other departments to facilitate data analysis and interpretation for tax-related activities.
• Lead strategic planning initiatives related to financial and tax compliance.
• Act as a liaison with external auditors, ensuring smooth tax and license audits.
• Present financial findings and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, tax management, or financial reporting.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of administrative management and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in management, strategic planning, and public speaking.
• Excellent project management and team collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in data analysis and marketing strategy.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA certification or equivalent.
• Experience with tax compliance software.
• Familiarity with the marketing and advertising industry.
