About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Scheduling to join our finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in program scheduling within the defense or R&D industry. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of scheduling and earned value management. This role is highly visible with work product being consumed by Directors, VPs, Executives, and Customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures across HRL to support earned value management and scheduling systems
  • Support development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project, based on requirements and scope provided by the customer
  • Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the program’s lifecycle that incorporates contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS to maintain realistic current program management baselines
  • Ensure the IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases
  • Ensure the IMS is resource loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration
  • Lead and conduct detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness, and compliance
  • Communicate schedule status including results of critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis and the results of 'what-if' exercises to the Planning Lead, Program Manager, customers, and senior management as needed
  • Support EAC and proposal processes as they relate to the Program IMS
  • Develop scheduling health metrics and dashboard to provide visibility

Requirements

  • Prior work experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
  • Prior work experience in managing the development of complex program plans in accordance with the statement of work and program strategy
  • Prior experience managing a team of professionals
  • Prior work experience supporting the integration of subcontractors and operations into program plans, schedules, and financial tracking
  • Demonstrated customer facing experience in leadership role
  • Familiarity with: Deltek Costpoint, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) & Deltek Cobra
  • Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
