About the position

The Manager of SHWB Data Informatics/Systems Analyst at Johns Hopkins University is responsible for overseeing data analysis and reporting for the Student Health & Well-Being (SHWB) Practice Group. This role involves optimizing services through data insights, supervising program evaluations, and managing technology systems related to healthcare data. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the quality of health services provided to students and trainees.

Responsibilities

  • Mine and analyze data from multiple sources to optimize SHWB services and operations.
  • Generate reports and data visualizations for decision-making and forecasting.
  • Create and maintain dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators and outcomes.
  • Construct and maintain a library for organizing reports to improve efficiency.
  • Review reports for accuracy and serve as a liaison between technical staff and clinicians.
  • Supervise program evaluation and research initiatives across SHWB departments.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and interpret results for evaluation reports.
  • Coordinate support for SHWB systems and collaborate with IT teams for system updates.
  • Train users on EMR and other SHWB systems, ensuring compliance and ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Seven years of experience in data analysis or related roles.
  • Good working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and healthcare IT systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in information technology, informatics, or related fields.
  • Three to five years of experience in reporting and data management within a health system.
  • Experience in a complex, decentralized, diverse environment.
