About the position

The Manager of Social Strategy and Publishing Operations for Sports Podcasts at Sinclair Broadcast Group is responsible for developing and executing social strategies and digital content plans that enhance the online presence of assigned sports podcasts. This role involves content creation, community management, and performance analysis to engage audiences and promote programming effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Digital Content Plans: Create and implement strategic, multi-platform content plans tailored to the unique audience and subject matter of each show.
  • Coordinate and Publish Content Across All Handles: Create and distribute content across all title social media handles, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
  • Be the Voice of Each Show: Serve as the primary voice online for all assigned podcasts, adapting communication style to reflect each show's personality.
  • Amplify Reach through Community Management: Drive community management initiatives to foster audience engagement and encourage conversations among listeners.
  • Audience Engagement Strategies: Build and implement innovative engagement strategies to grow follower base and increase engagement rates.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports on social media performance metrics, providing insights into reach and engagement.
  • Data-Driven Campaign Evolution: Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and audience-building strategies.
  • Experience shooting and editing original social content, with examples to share.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable steps.
  • A passion for sports and an understanding of the sports media landscape.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
