About the position

The Manager of Software Engineering - Data Engineering and Analytics at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for leading a team focused on data engineering and analytics, ensuring adherence to standards and service level agreements while fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, big data, and AI/ML operations, particularly in anomaly detection and data discovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of developers and oversee stakeholder management.
• Lead technology projects using Agile methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with data engineering standards and service level agreements.
• Foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
• Develop and implement data engineering solutions using Python and Spark.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience working with big data technologies.
• Proven experience in Data Engineering and Analytics.
• High-level understanding of AI/ML Ops, particularly in Anomaly Detection and Data Discovery LLMs.
• Proficiency in Data Engineering with Python & Spark, including system design.
• Experience with AWS or equivalent public cloud services.
• Prior experience with feature engineering and ML Ops focused on anomalies.
• Strong understanding of logical and physical data models.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working at the code level.
• Familiarity with Databricks Lakehouse Platform, preferably in the financial domain.
• Prior experience with in-memory queuing solutions such as Atoti/CubeJS.
