About the position

Responsible for the maintenance and communication of Student Financial Services policies and procedures, Quality Assurance, and production accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and maintains all institutional Student Financial Services (SFS) policies, procedures and funding programs as they pertain to awarding, disbursing, and refunding.
  • Coordination of the creation and maintenance of required Policy and Procedures manual as required in Title IV regulations.
  • Develop and implement onboarding and retention staff training program.
  • Works with Marketing and SFS Leadership to ensure all company websites are compliant and contain required disclosures and information as dictated in Title IV regulations.
  • Researches, analyzes, develops, reviews, and recommends changes and/or implementation of departmental processes and procedures to increase/improve operational efficiency and to ensure proper controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify potential problems and solutions through effective analysis of reports, policies, operations, processes and staff calls with students.
  • Researches and interprets federal, state, and private financial aid regulations and sources, ensuring all institutional processes comply with all agency and regulatory standards.
  • Mandatory attendance at assigned state, industry and federal conferences as they relate to operations of Financial Aid.
  • Assists in preparation and completion of required internal and regulatory reporting as they pertain to Student Financial Services.
  • Assists in operational procedures where needed by filling in for any position at any location as deemed necessary by VP of SFS.
  • Serves on institutional committees as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a Financial Aid Director.
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of ten years' experience in financial aid or related function in post-secondary education which includes three years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
